Causes of perspective decline can be due to serious illness, disease, uncorrected refractive problem (an optical problem of the eye that results in light not being centered clearly on the retina), stress, or genetic problem.

In 2001, a significant epidemiological study unveiled that, around the world, ladies have a greater stress of loss of sight and perspective decline. Of the common eye conditions, dry eye symptoms, autoimmune conditions, and certain styles of cataract are basically more widespread in ladies than in men. In building nations, age-related conditions such as macular destruction and cataract influence ladies more often than men because ladies usually live longer. In building nations, catching conditions such as trachoma are more widespread in ladies, and, in some regions of the world, ladies have less use of health care.
